Digital Fluency PL 2018

Initial wonderings - What are the skills, capabilities and character traits that will stand our children in good stead in the years to come? What are key skills for your children?

It’s about the teaching, not the tools.

Students today grow up immersed in technology but they don’t automatically understand technology’s pitfalls — or its opportunities.

Research suggests that students who develop agency, or a learner-driven approach, are empowered in their educational and personal pursuits and are better prepared to thrive.

We live in an age where collaboration happens between individuals living around the world, and people can share and communicate with a global audience in an instant.

One of the roles of a 21st-century school is to equip students in the best way possible for life outside the classroom. In today's technology-reliant world, learning how to effectively learn and work with technology is an absolute necessity.

Linking digital learning to the Toolkit.
