Learning Pyramids

The importance of daily physical activity for young children, and for the teachers to have knowledge in this area in order to target and support any areas needed.
My belief is supported by this in that children are not ready for formal learning until their physical body is.
I like to think of the pyramid as a bucket - if there are holes anywhere in the bucket then the knowledge/teaching/learning we are doing with the child will pour out.  The bucket needs to have the holes filled so that the knowledge/learning is retained.
